Cheer Team Will Host Pancake Breakfast

LR cheer will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Fatz Cafe (Forest Drive) from 8:00-11:00.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from Coach Liz Still or any cheerleader this week at the school.  Contact Coach Still at isabel.still@richlandone.org or 695-3000 for additional information.

Sports Physicals Set for Saturday, April 14

Free sports physicals are set for Saturday, April 14.  All athletes should sign up with their coaches and pick up the physicals with the health history and concussion forms.  All forms must be completed, signed and returned to your coach or Coach Barr prior to Saturday.  See your coach for the forms.  Please call 803-695-4043

Student/Athletes Share Their Views on WGCV Radio

Lower Richland High School cadets were recently featured on the Don Frierson’s Urban Scene radio show on WGCV on Wed., March 7 at noon.  The students were able to come on the show to talk about Lower Richland’s JROTC program, the Army Scholarship & West Point Preparatory appointment, JROTC Leadership Bowl and how JROTC benefits

Strength Team Advances

The following members of the strength team participated in the South Carolina High School Strength Coaches Association Region 15 Speed & Strength Mee ton Wednesday March 7th , 2018 at Lugoff-Elgin High School. The junior division had several Lower Richland athletes to place in the final round.  Tyler Singleton and Isaiah Anderson advanced to the next round.   JV Division:

Sports Physicals Scheduled

Sports physicals for the 2018-2019 school year will be completed by Palmetto Health USC Orthopedic Center’s on April 14th, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.  All Lower Richland athletes interested in getting the pre-participation evaluation completed should sign up with their coach by March 30, 2018.  All forms will given out the week of April 9th and must be returned

Lower Richland Girls’ Basketball Region Champions

Congratulations to Coach Keturah Jackson and the Diamond Hornet girls’ basketball team for clinching the region championship Tuesday night with a 42-34 win over Orangeburg Wilkinson High School.  The Diamond Hornets will host a playoff game here at the Diamond Mine on Tuesday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m.  Anala Nelson 8th, LaNiya Smith 10th, Ireona Brooks 11th

B-Team Wins Weekend Tournament

The 9th grade basketball team wins the Sumter High School tournament by defeating the Sumter Gamecocks!  The team is coached by Tracey Vaultx and assistant Marquis Wallace.
