Varsity Girls Kick-Off Holiday Break with Tournament

The varsity girls’ basketball team will kick off their holiday season with their participation in the Carolina Invitational at Bishop England High School in Charleston, SC.  The Diamond Hornet will play in the first round of the Island Division against Centerville High School out of Ohio at 3:30 p.m.

Team Scrimmages Set to Begin

Both the girls’ and boys’ basketball are set for scrimmages this week.  The girls will scrimmage Dutch Fork tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Lower Richland, admission is free.  Our boys will scrimmage Lakewood, Thursday, Nov. 17 at Lower Richland at 6:00 p.m. admission is free for this event.

LR Tabs Jackson as Head Coach of Girls Basketball

Lower Richland High School athletic director Debbie Stroman has announced Keturah Jackson as the new head coach of the Diamond Hornets girls basketball team.  Most recently, Jackson was the head coach at White Knoll High School for the last three seasons. Williford Selected to Play in SCBA North-South All-Star Game

Senior Dejah Williford has been selected to play in the South Carolina Coaches Association North-South All-Star basketball game on Saturday, March 19 at Lexington High School. Tip-off is at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for high school students and younger.  The doors will open at noon.
