Players Selected to Palmetto Division All-Tournament Basketball Team

Zhayla Adams, Junior, and LaNiya Smith, Sophomore, were recently selected to the All-Tournament team in the Palmetto Division of the Carolina Basketball Invitational held in Charleston, SC December 27-30.  Lower Richland played Norwood Academy in the championship game and placed 2nd.

Archie Signs with Paine College

Keondra Archie, senior, at Lower Richland recently signed a basketball grant to Paine College in Augusta, GA.  Keondra played on the varsity basketball team as a 9th grader and has been a vital part of the program.  Picture are her parents, Head Keturah Jackson, Asst. LR’s Girls Play Third Round at 6:00 p.m.

Lower Richland’s girls’ basketball will host Myrtle Beach High School in the third round of basketball playoff at Lower Richland at 6:00 p.m.  Ticket price is $6.00.  Come out and support the Diamond Hornets.

Cailah Hicklin WLTX Player of the Week

Cailah Hicklin, senior, post player for the girls’ bsketball team was honored as WLTX Player of the Week.  Cailah was recongnized Tuesday, January 24 in the school’s gym in front of her teammates.  Coach Jackson said “She has great energy that she brings to practice daily”.  Cailah will attend Charleston Southern in the fall and

Varsity Girls Kick-Off Holiday Break with Tournament

The varsity girls’ basketball team will kick off their holiday season with their participation in the Carolina Invitational at Bishop England High School in Charleston, SC.  The Diamond Hornet will play in the first round of the Island Division against Centerville High School out of Ohio at 3:30 p.m.
